Braces

Our Red Deer office is pleased to offer our patients Damon® braces.  Damon braces use a passive self-ligating slide in place of elastics to help the wire guide teeth into place, eliminating the need for elastic or metal "ties."

 Metal braces are the most common type of braces.

 

Clear (Ceramic) Braces

Clear braces are made of ceramic materials and are less visible than metal braces. Generally, ceramic braces require a little more TLC because they are more fragile than metal braces. Patients who choose ceramic braces must maintain excellent oral hygiene to help keep the brackets from discoloring.  Because ceramic braces require a bit more care, they are popular with adults and older teenagers.

 

Invisalign®

Also offered at our Red Deer office, the Invisalign® System is a series of clear overlay templates—called aligners—that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult patients and mature adolescents with certain orthodontic bite problems.
